Chicken Park is a hastily-made parody comedy, intended for theatrical release but instead went straight to Italian TV and video. The plot revolves around a cockfighter who takes his prized chicken as he ventures off to the sprawling titular Park. From there he encounters a weird and wacky variety of characters and incidents, most of which parodying films including The Deer Hunter, Edward Scissorhands, The Addams Family, and of course the Spielberg box-office success (the antonym of Chicken Park). Much of the humour has been lifted from similar fare of the decade, including a direct ripoff of the 9 ½ Hours parody from Hot Shots!, as well as copious amounts of cringingly bad visual comedy which ranges from the mildly amusing to the dark and borderline disturbing. The other so-called jokes seem more akin to weird glimpses of pure distilled WTF. Examples include : a scene in which a man turns round to find that the right half of the plane he is in is occupied by zombies (who then proceed to order blood bags from the hostess... :/. They're not even trying.), a scene in which a man who appears to be talking about his penis is gunned down and opens his fly to reveal a pet bird before saying goodbye and dying (then there's an iris out, and a cut to an airport, as if nothing happened), and other sight gags whose appeal was presumably lost in translation (or not very funny to begin with).
